Te Tahuna Trust was established in 1981 under Section 438 of the Māori Affairs Act and continues as an Ahu Whenua Trust under Te Ture Whenua Māori Act 1993. Our 49 hectares of whenua are located at Hinehopu at the eastern end of Lake Rotoiti, serving the people of Ngāti Tamateatutahi-Ngāti Kawiti hapū.
