Recent incident of carcass dumping
Trust representatives met this week with Council staff to discuss recent issues at Tamatea St and to explore assistance available form Council.  The history of the Trust and Tamatea St were discussed, highlighting the current issues being experienced.

Council staff were very supportive and agreed to:-

  • investigate options around enhanced security measuares
  • liaise with Police to establish the frequency of complaints, and to
  • monitor community feedback and ensure that this is shared with Police.

This is just the start of improving safety measures and we encourage anyone that witnesses an incident of inappropriate behaviour to note it down and report it to the Police.

Police have had an increased presence at Rotoiti as of late,, and a number of unlicensed  motorbikes have been seized.  We will meet again with Council in late January.

Ngā mihi,

Ivor Jones
Chairperson
